Diversity in Research Workshop 15th of November
Dear Friends,
On the 18th of October, the Achieving Diversity in Research online event included specialist presentations focused on raising awareness around health and social research, and on how modern research is conducted and how it impacts BME and other ethnic minority communities. The audience was engaged in excellent conversations and had the opportunity to ask questions and to get involved in future initiatives and projects aimed at enabling research conducted by community specialists for their community. The event was successful in achieving its aims and the two main speakers were extremely inspirational and passionate about research.
EMIC has the pleasure to invite you to the online Diversity in Research Workshop – research done by the community for the community, the second event part of the Reaching Out project, conducted in partnership with NIHR and other ethnic minority organisations across Kent, Sussex and Surrey. In comparison with the first event, the workshop will be targeted at all community members interested in conducting research and the discussion will be more focused and looking at the specifics of conducting research within ethnic communities. All participants will have the opportunity to learn more about community research and upskill in methods of conducting research.
