EMIC supporting Young Lives vs Cancer, 500k steps in August
The Chair of EMIC, Dr. Radu Stancu, has joined the 500,000 steps in August Challenge on behalf of EMIC, supporting the fundraising for Young Lives vs Cancer.
Radu has already completed nearly 400 thousand steps and is in the last week of the challenge, very confident he will complete it successfully.
He has made the following statement:
“Do you want to join me and the Ethnic Minorities in Canterbury supporting a good cause? I’m doing the 500k steps in August challenge and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £1 or £500, every little bit helps! Young Lives vs Cancer is a charity which helps children and young people (0-25) and their families to find the resilience and support needed when faced with a cancer diagnosis.
I am doing great so far, keeping a good daily average and burning calories to keep fit and healthy! The fundraising goes to a great cause aimed at supporting our wider communities, helping young people with cancer, and EMIC is proud to be a part of such a noble cause. This is only one example of how only working together we can achieve great things and help our society thrive!
