European Cultural Day 27th of April
Another wonderful Community Table event organised by EMIC took place on Saturday, 27th April, the European Cultural Day, celebrating our European communities, their culture and heritage, and their wonderful cuisine!
We were very honoured to have in attendance the Sheriff of Canterbury, Cllr. Tom Mellish and their Consort. We are truly grateful to the wonderful organising team, Edyta Wymentowska and Viorica Redman; to our trustee coordinators, Dr Aga Gordon and Dr Radu Stancu; our caterer, Little Piggies Catering, which provided an amazing and delicious multicultural buffet; to the Transylvanian Shop in Canterbury for providing delicious Romanian desserts; to our Japanese Visiting students from CCCU and Felicity, their coordinator; to our wonderful volunteers from the Romanian, Polish and Ukrainian Community groups for their programme contributions, exhibitions and masterful arts and crafts activities suitable for all ages; to Hammad, our tech expert and volunteer; to the Kent Fire and Rescue Service for their community Home safety presentation. And as always, we are truly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund, who is funding the Community Table project run by EMIC.
We hope to see you all at our next Community Table Event, Taste of Africa, on 18th of May, tickets are available Eventbrite.
